Kevin Barry is the Managing Member of Rossway Swan Tierney Barry & Oliver and currently has over thirty years of legal experience, the majority of which were spent in large international law firms. Kevin concentrates in general corporate law and transactional matters including mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, venture capital and real estate transactions. He has acted as general counsel to numerous start-up companies and publicly held corporations at all stages of growth as well as private investors in many industries. He currently acts as Lead Counsel for several Commercial Real Estate Developers.
Kevin graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Middlebury College and received his Juris Doctor Degree from Hofstra University School of Law in 1990. Kevin began his legal career as an associate at White & Case, a Wall Street firm located in New York City, before becoming partner at Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault LLLP, where he was head of the firm’s European Initiative and Public Company Practice Group.
As a member of The Florida Bar since 2011, Kevin is also admitted to practice in New York and Massachusetts since 1991. Kevin has been selected by Chambers USA as one of America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, and he has been selected by the Best Lawyers in America as a leading lawyer in securities law and venture capital law. He has also been selected by the Boston Globe Magazine as one of the top securities lawyers during his time in Boston, Massachusetts, and by Super Lawyers as a top rated mergers and acquisitions attorney. Since moving to Vero Beach and joining Rossway Swan, Kevin has actively served the Treasure and Space Coast communities by being the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of St. Edward’s School, a Board Member of the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast, a member of the Board of Trustees for the Environmental Learning Center, General Counsel to the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce, a Board Member of Octavian Village, Inc., and President and member of the Board of Trustees for The Research Coast Principium Foundation.
